ELOM International Academy was founded with the help of community leaders, educators and business people who want child to receive an education that demands their best in behavior, attitude and effort; and an education that challenges them to achieve their highest potential. Our school developers embody the experience and skills that ELOM International Academy needs to function as an effective organization of excellence.

This idea of establishing a free public school that would cater to the needs of immigrant children in the northwestern suburbs of MN was born in 2004. A strong board, responsible for ensuring that our overall curricular policy remains faithful to the school's mission, was formed in 2005. ELOM subsequently secured sponsorship from Volunteers of America from 2006-2009.

ELOM will have a President and an Academic Director who will be responsible for it day-to day operations. The Academy will also provide a quality educational experience that espouses respect. This concept will be reflected through an Elders Council composed of respected community leaders, which is indigenous to West Africa and will celebrate each child's unique learning abilities and needs.
